Pink Chandelier Children's Collection
I was so excited to get to try out children swear designs. I wanted something soft and sophisticated with dream like prints. Something that would calm their parents when they looked at them. The collection in the editorial photography was engineered to go to market in Los Angeles. When we produced the collection for the Black Chandelier retail stores in Salt Lake City, we used brighter colors, and constructed tiny racks and store displays to hold the clothes. Pink Chandelier was always a favorite of the mothers in the area.
Pink Chandelier Runway Open House
A runway event with children is troublesome at its best. We decided to hold this little runway event to coincide with the Black Chandelier studio open house. We constructed an enormous candy display centerpiece to bribe the children to do as we ask of them. The runway was difficult at best, but everyone seemed to love the little girls. We set up an elaborate candy buffet as an incetive to behave and walk pretty. As soon as the show was over they could start loading up bags to take home. People came to the open house and wandered around the building looking at everything like it was from another planet. It was wonderful.

This was far before a candy bar had become a trend at wedding receptions... So when the children entered the room it was like Santa Clause had shown up to the party. Minds exploded, tiny minds.
