Designing at Black Chandelier was an all day every day job. The culture among the staff was very jovial and sweet. Everyone socialized with each other, made gifts and clothes for each other. It was it was a warm albeit, slightly reclusive atmosphere. The family of people bonding over making things together created new jobs in the area. There was finally a home for people with high design and construction abilities to express themselves every day.

We all travelled around first class on the Amtrak, of course what this meant was really slow travel and tons of time to get up to no good. The hicky contest.
Jared Gold / Black Chandelier Studio Los Angeles
Jared Gold Studio at 603 S. Rampart Los Angeles, California was a central starting point for everything garment I every designed. The neighborhood was incredibly dicey at times. The studio had been broken into multiple times. The ceilings were 18 ft. high with guilded molding at the top. The most pronounced feather of the studio in Los Angeles was its enormous veranda. We would held fashion shows, cake walks, interviews, photoshoots, all on the patio. To shield us from the busy street, we build voluminous drapes in pinks that went up two stories.
